The First Person on Scene Intermediate course is great for anyone wanting to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to help in life-threatening situations, in a range of medical emergencies, and is particularly relevant for those operating as a first aid responder, close protection operative or individual working in a hostile environment.

With this training delivered by two actively serving paramedics, you will be taught by the best! Upon successful completion, the delegate will be awarded with the AoFAQ Level 3 Award in The First Person on Scene Intermediate qualification.


This course provides intermediate skills for the management of a broad range of common emergencies as well as those faced by security professionals, ranging from:

  • Initial patient assessment
  • The management of circulation and shock
  • Respiration and airway management
  • Basic life support
  • Defibrillation
  • Treatments for a range of typical medical emergencies.

This course goes above and beyond the standards required. We use scenarios and simulations to give a ‘real’ feeling to the practical elements of the course. When obtaining work in such industries it is important to go above and beyond with quality of training and not just obtain a ‘tick in the box’.


The accommodation is based near Central Birmingham at the Ramada Hotel, Oldbury. The course fee is inclusive of:
